<description>ARQL is very attractive at these levels though it faces a binary event next year. It is shaping up as a promising platform technology following the FGFR program.

CLDX - still doesn't have a concrete opinion. Depends on CR011 data in breast cancer.

SGEN - long term still a good buy but short term i don't see anything meaningful that can take it higher other than M&#38;A.

		<description>Hi Ohad,

ARQL, CLDX (which now owns CRGN), and SGEN are all trading below May 27 2009 price. Is it time to buy them?

Thanks.

<description>For comparison, check interim Adv. Breast (MBC) &#38; NSCLC Ph.2 results of Peregrine’s Bavituximab (“Bavi”), an anti-PS antibody that specifically targets the cancer blood vessels, and alerts the body’s immune system to attack the tumor and its blood supply. (moa: http://tinyurl.com/3xb348 )

Bavi is in 3 Ph.2 trials: 2 vs. MBC (Rep.Georgia &#38; India) and 1 vs. NSCLC (India).

The latest-reported ORR%’s are:
•	71% (n=14) Bavi+Doce MBC (Rep.GA) – rep. 10-21-08 http://tinyurl.com/6qx4gp
•	64% (n=14) Bavi+CP MBC (India) – rep. 4-27-09 http://tinyurl.com/c9hna4
•	47% (n=17) Bavi+CP NSCLC (India) – rep. 4-20-09 http://tinyurl.com/cwytaf

Updated Ph.2 results in the “71%” Adv.Breast/Rep.GA. trial to be orally presented at ASCO’09 6-1-09 10:30am, 7mos. since last update. Should get Full-Year Survival, and ~16 addl. Stage2 patients at ~12wks (2 of 6 4wk cycles + 4wk confirmation scans), moving to aprprox. n=30.
See ASCO’09 abstract #3005, released 5-14-09: http://tinyurl.com/qem2wg

		<description>Thanks beo.

I am not too familiar with XOMA's technology, but judgung by the recent deal with Takeda, it doesn't sound obsolete to me. As you said, it already generated several commercial abs, so it is well proven.

XOMA has a very interesting antibody for diabetes, which seems to be pretty active. This is in my opinion the real value creator for the company this year. I am not sure whether there are other abs in development based on its platform.
SGEN is definitely one of the favorite ab companies, mostly because of its ADC technology. It is also pretty good with naked antibodies as well

<description>Recently I discovered your blog, and really like for its deep yet very readable insights. I would like to ask what do you think about Xoma as another Ab technology company. They licence their knowhow and in three cases there is a product in the market. Is there a chance that there would be some more, or is the Xoma technology already obsolete? From a very superficial fly througt the web it seems to me that SGEN is now the favorite one. Thanks for your answer.</description>
